there are lots of ways to do it, i think you should run them each at 8 ohms which will bring it down to around 2.5 ohms if i am not mistaken. the upside to that is every sub is running the same.

oh lol and it will be decently easy on your amp, not causing it to have to work its hardest to put out full power.

now i think thats all i felt like saying.

The JL 500/1 is stable down to 1.5 ohms so 2.7 will be fine. What I would worry about however is you are going to be severely underpowering the subs.

The 500/1 puts out full power at 1.5-4 ohms

He speaks the truth.  That amp wired at that impedance will work...but if it were me, I would still want a lot more power running through em.  Youre probably going to have about 175w going to each of em...It will definately work, but I, personally, would want to run more juice...

I'd sell the third one...put the two that are left in a nice big vented box...would be a better bet

Doesn't the 500/1 really put out like over 700 watts rms...not sure but what I've heard.

Im sure it has a higher rating at a lower resistance...I cant imagine 4ohm and 1.5ohm load having the exact same output....

Phoenix Gold Xenon series amps have this technology also...full power at 1-4 ohms.
