Ive got a 15" in my trunk and 4" coax's in the dash and rear deck.  It doesnt sound bad, but im missing a lot of midrange frequencies.  I've been thinkin about gettin some 8"s and putting them in between the rear seats.  What do you guys think, should I go with two 8"s or would one give me enough of that midrange bass?? If I do this they'll most likely be some soundsplinter or TC Sounds 8"s, so no low quality trash...

If they make kickpanel enclosures for your vehicle I would vote for that. Get some of the qlogic ones and throw a good set of 5 1/4" components in them and that should take care of your problem, and your entire view of how good your system sounded before will change. That, or you could glass some for a pair of 6 1/2 components yourself. That would be ideal. What kind of car/truck do you have, and I could evaluate the situation better.

fiberglass reminds me of peanut brittle... but fiberglass tastes better!

Compnents are on my list.  Im just holding off until i get a little better at glassing. I have plans to fab up some pods on the dash... I have to go completly custom with this car because its a 1980 Mercedes.  They dont make a single thing for my car.  im lucky i found a harness for the HU...I have a flip down arm rest between the rear seats and I was thinking of removing that to put an 8" in there...Im really looking for those lower midrange freq's....

my Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.1 components put out pretty decent mid-bass.. a good amount more than my Diamond Audio Hex or M6 series components do

only paid $220 for the Infinity's because they were "used" because someone had purchased them before me, even though they were still in their original sealed box
