I have a problem and I need some advice. Right now im running 2 sets of Image Dynamics Components. I blew my tweeters on them and nobody is selling the replacements for those. The tweeters were 100watts rms. what should I do? I really would like to replace them with the same ones but no one sells them and no one on ebay sells tweeters seperate. Just lookin for some guidance on this one. I was pushing them with a JBL 4 channel amp. I think the amp was like 600 watts or so. Anybody have any suggestions on how I sould go about finding replacement tweeters for my components? Oh! the models for the components I am running are the CXS52 which are 2 ohm and the CXS62 which are also 2 ohm. The reason I went with 2 different models are because the CXS62s were too big for the front so I had to go with a smaller size. I hope I have provided enough info for you guys. Thanks!

What am I missing? I think I remember my installer saying something about my crossovers going bad might have been the cause of the tweeters blowing. My problem is trying to find replacements to take the place of the NX30s since almost no one carrys them at the moment. This is where im stucc at.

If your tweeters aren't hitting 20Hz, I would buy some new ones.

I dont even know what they were hitting. But the installer told me he notice there was sound comming out of the crossovers. That I guess was what led him to believe that the crossovers were going bad. So, now I have to replace not only the tweeters, but the crossovers to. I was think about going with some MB Quarts. I dont wanna just throw some cheapies in there.Any suggestions?

If you liked the image dynamics, stick with image dynamics.

Believe me if I could find Image Dynamics tweeters id go with them. The problem is that they are not available right now, not the tweeters only. No one is selling the NX30s not even on ebay. So have to find out what would be best to replace them with. I was looking at the MB Quarts but their not going to put out the power that the NX30s put out. I want a set with almost the same specs if not the same. Atleast power wise.

Im running 2 pair of the image dynamics components. The pair in the bacc are the CXS62 which are 6 1/2s and in the front are the CXS52s which are 5 1/4s I believe. The anp that is pushing those is a Fosgate 4 chan. I dont know the model but it says its like 1000 watts but we all know that Fosgate is notorious for overating their product. Oh yeah I have a 1990 Acura Integra LS, if that helps any. Well this is what happend. Yesterday I was listening to my oldies at a little over medium volume and outta nowhere my front components stop playing. Immedietly after that my left bacc compontent stoped playing. They havent come bacc on since. There was no crackle or smoke or anything indicating that they where blown. What could this mean?
