Hello guys.i am new to this site but as i can see from the forums you all are very experienced so  i would like to get some info. if you all can help. I have a pioneer 305dvc 400watt rms-800watt max on box.i want to power this sub in my room tho but i am wondering if i will have enough power for it because i recently read that i will need to provide power for the 2coils ( i didn't know this before i bought it) .i will b getting a kenwood 400watt houseamp soon ie. 200watt per channel.i am unsure about the rms on the amp but i believe it is 4ohm and 8ohm. so can u all please shed some light on this?should i keep the sub or shud i sell it and get a single coil sub? thanks alot.

You'll be fine. "Powering two coils" is incorrect. You will be powering a 400 watt subwoofer with 400 watts - just doing it in two channels. Run one channel of the amp to each voice coil, and you'll be golden.
------------- It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."
