I'm working on hardwiring a sirius starmate replay in a customer's 99 Corvette today, no biggie, but here is where things get interesting. She took it in to a local Chevy dealership to have warranty work done on it and the kid who worked on it pretty much destroyed the center console. In an effort to put it back together and make it work, he RIVETED the whole thing together so it no longer comes apart. Therefore, I cannot pull the factory radio out to pull my switched power from there. I decided I would try the ignition harness, and found the same thing, the trim that covers the ignition harness is also riveted together and held on by the same piece of trim as the center console is. Basically, I'm wondering if anyone knows of anywhere else that I can find a switched power source so I can get this Corvette out of here!

on the passenger side floor. fold the carpeting down from where your feet would rest. there's a fuse box under there. in the upper right area, not sure if exactly next to the fusebox, there is are three wires. orange, yellow, and black are the colors. they lead to a three pin connector in the same area. you can unplug this connector as the wires are just taped up. orange is +12v battery, black is ground, yellow is +12v switched.
