Try: I have a 1973 Chevy Truck with a bench seat. I'm looking or have purchased a *** 1500W amp. What subs would fit behind the seat? I listen to: type of music. I'm looking to spend XXX amount.
This might help to get you more answers...
Yup, you need to go at the problem from the exact opposite direction. You need to determine what space you have available behind the seat first. Then leave enough room so that the subs DO NOT HIT THE SEAT or you will be buying new subs in short order. Use the box volume calculator in the left sidebar to determine available box volume. Next, what is the exact amp you have? Then and only then do you decide on subs.
In this case you have the application to choose the sub, not the sub to choose the application.

i wanted to go with about 6 depth sub or shallower and that would leave me with around 2 inches for the sub to travle
