I'm new to car audio. Let's start there =P I have been lurking around on this forum and many others trying to learn as much as I can. No other place has been so useful or knowledgeable.

Steven Kephart did quite a number on front end speakers. One from a little while ago was a bit over my head but I did pick up a few things to help me in my quest. Also his recent post was more my level and gave me a better idea of where I stand in my planning and construction efforts.

forbidden had a great piece on sub boxes. The mention of driver mounting, something so obvious, yet so easy to over look was very interesting. Also the Molex thread was wonderful with the pictures and step by step guide. Bravo!

DYohn and everyone who commented in the "Big Three Upgrade", wow. I'm not sure that I will be using enough power to warrant a power system overhaul, but that was again something right in front of me that I NEVER would have really thought about. If I were going big bass I'd prolly get expensive with an alternator change or a battery or something before I'd consider the wire gauges in the system.

I guess they are Sticky for a reason =P Great work on all the posts. I'm sure there are more that have influenced me... but these are all that I can pull out of my cramped brain right now.

"Square Speakers, Why?" was a hilarious thread to read =P I had been thinking about that my self. I have a question in that arena as well so I'll just stick it in there.

I am much more confident in my ability to plan and implement a sound system after reading through this forum. 12Volt in general seems like an excellent place to learn for nearly all facets of installation. If I were an installer of anything I'd defiantly be an active member of these parts =P

I nearly went the way of my friends. "That little audio shop down the road." You know, the one with the prefab boxes that can fit nearly any driver you want! Or the guy that says "Hey these four way 6x9's are the best thing on the market. Sony makes em so you know they are awesome!" Now that I have done my homework I have figured out what all my friends were missing. Quality Audio =P
