Subject: Component and Amp Suggestions

I have decided to take the subs out of my 97 civic. I have also decided that I am not going to place another in. I want to find me a awesome component set and buy two of them. (1) for the stock location in the doors and the other beside the back set in those body panels. So I was needing a suggestion on some comp. sets and an amp to push them. Budget is negotiable. I mean I don't have inifite amount of money, but I am open to anything. I was thinking maybe about 500 for my sets and amp is negotiable. Any suggestions will be great help.

Thanks,
Dustin

What size speakers?
Are you looking to get some low-end bass out of them since you are removing your woofer? Thats how I'm understanding the post.
If you dampen your panels and seal up the door panel cavities, it will really help

Well the door speakers are 6 1/2 with tweeters. I would like to have matching sets front and rear. Hey, I would like some low end bass. I'm just tired of a sub. The car was supposed to be already dampened in the door, but I am going to double check that when I install the new speakers.

you can get some amazing Focals or some damn good Diamond Audio or even Boston Acc for that price. Look around on woofersetc.com and then compare to EGAY.

No matter how great the components you get, they will never compensate for subs. They just won't play those low frequencies with any authority.

A sysrtem like this will only be half complete. You will sorely miss any sub section, even if it is just an 8". Reconsider losing subs entirely.
