As strange as it is I have a Pioneer AVICV07MD and AVICH09 in New Zeaand of all places, now I'm in need of a manual if anyone has it prefferably in pdf format, also need a remote control if anyone can point me in the right direction.  My last problem, is there any way to change the firmware from NTSC to PAL and the language from Japanese to English.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Any similar head units available in the states that could perhaps have similar operating firmware?

As far as I know, there is no way to change the language or video standards set into the system during manufacturing, but you can write to Pioneer and ask them.
