Hey guys. I know this might sound retarded to alot of u, which is why i am asking on here. I've been tossing around the idea of a 15" L7. due to limited trunk space, I was thinking of building a wall. I dont need or want one, but i dont want to lose my entire trunk. I never carry people around in the back seat, so i dont mind losing that. Anyways, for starters, my car is a 1996 Ford Escort hatchback. the setup as of right now is: Hifonics brutus 1500d, powering a Kicker L7 12" in a ported box. only shootin it 500 watts. (4 ohm). then the rest for interiors doesnt really matter. I guess what i want to know, is how big of a box would i need to get maximum bass out of the 15" If i have to build a wall, i will, but if i dont have to, im up for that too. thanks in advance.

If you say "I already know how", don't ask me a single question.

Sorry, I couldn't even read the rest of what you asked.  LMFAO too much at this line!

Good to see you're still around, pimpfromchi.  But anyway, if your power is limited, build it to as large as you have room for, up to 6 cu ft.

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

I had a single kicker 15 L7 for a long time in a 3.0  cubic foot box and then i upgraded to a single in a 6.0 cubic foot box... all i noticed was a change in the depth of the bass.  The 6.0 let it hit deeper so much harder.  What i suggest you do is get two of those running off your 1500d... wire them both to 2 ohm and youll be getting 1500rms at 1 ohm... that will make the difference in my opinion.  If your going to make the box 6 feet then make a chamber and give each sub 3 ft.  All you gotta do is buy one more!

Yea I would make the box 6ft.  I did notice that the sub was performing better at lower frequencies

If you ask me building a whole wall for 1 15" is sort of a waste. I know 2 people with 4 15" L7 walls. One is in a focus the other is in a 95-ish regal. Both are loud as hell!! I would just build a box for the rear hatch. You can always put stuff in the backseat.

For awhile when I get my new car I had my CVR 15 in the backseat cuz it wouldnt fit in the trunk. It was a pain, i would have to move it of take it out when someone had to ride back there. You may find out you use your backseat more than you think.
