I have this unit in a car that I haven't driven in over a year. I can't remember the code to unlock the unit. I'm about to sell the car. Is there a way to get the code for this unit.

I believe it is one that you get to choose when you set it initially, so you either remember it or take it to an authorized repair shop and they can reset it for you.
