hey...how are yall doing....
i installed a new headunit, front speakers, rear speakers, tweeters, and subs in my car and i have one 2 channel amp pushing the subs and a 4 channel amp pushing the other speakers....i asked yall how to get rid of this hissing noise i get from all of the speakers (not the subs) and i was told not to run any speaker wires along w/ the power wire....i had the speaker wires for my right fronts and tweeter running on the passenger side along w/ my power wire but i moved the speaker wire to run w/ the speaker wires from the left speakers and rcas all on the driver's side....i did that and the hissing noise is stil there!
its funny b/c the hissing noise hisses w/ the way i accelerate ...and also when i turn on my blinkers...its always hissing but u can hear the pitch get higher? it gets really annoying ...any ideas on how to fix this? thanks
Make sure that your remote wire is not close to your power wire, as well as your power wire not close to your rca's. Try to seperate everything as much as possible. Run your power cables one side of the car and your rca's down the other side of the car. Then run your speaker cables down the center. Next check your ground. Make sure that all the paint is removed and it is a solid connection. Check your ground on the head unit as well. If you are using your ground from your harness, change it and ground it to chasis behind the head unit. Post your results.

Sound Pressure
You know you have the right amount of pressure when your eyes start to water! Now you've got Juice!
do you drive a Honda? they are notorious for having noise problems...as pressure just said, separate everything as much as possible and make sure all your grounds are solid...its almost advisable to run a heavier ground than positive lead...do you have an aftermarket alternator? is it a re-wind? sometimes when shops rewind alternators for higher amperages they dont upgrade all of the parts and noise suppression isnt really thought about, so you get an alternator that will really crank out the noise...
let us know how that goes...
yea i have a '02 accord .....i think its my remote wire...i ran it w/ my power wires ..and i should also check my ground as well....i'll let yall know how it goes...thanks for the advice!
I owe a Honda Civic and an Acura Integra. I have never had any noise in any of my installs. Always use Qualtiy Equipment and always run your wires like the above post and you will be find.
sounds like the gains on your 4ch amp are probably wide open - if they are, try turning them down and see if that helps
