I just installed this into my 2005 Dodge Ram. The display worked for all of about 5 minutes. The operator's manual does not have a "troubleshooting" section. Has anyone expirienced an EL display completely not turning on? The rest of the unit works fine. And before you ask, yes, I did do the soft reset on the front of the unit.

Sounds like time to take it back for warranty repair. ------------- Support the12volt.com

Yup, I had a customer's 7800MP go into warranty 5 days later and that was about 5 months ago. Pioneer is brutal and will not replace the unit rather fix the problem, but still waiting for parts from Pioneer. Good luck with that and hope you don't have to wait as long as I've had to wait for my customer's deck to come back.

Thanks for the info. I bought it off of ebay. It's a reconditioned unit. Comes with a 90day warranty. Hopefully I can get it straightened out. By the way, I have a cd stuck in the unit as well. How do I eject it? Via the screen or is the "Open" the eject function as well?
