I have a Kenwood 600watt monoblock amp and I don't have a clue as to how to get it to run in my car. I have a Sony cd player with no sub output. I am running my factory ford amp of the rear speakers of the cd player and can't see how it is possible to run my kenwood as well. My other amp, brand and power specifications unknown, is a four channel with four RCA inputs, but no output other than the four speaker outputs. I can bridge the amp, but other than buying more stuff, which is not an option I'm stuffed for ideas. Any ideas? Cheers Daniel

You sound a little confused. Your factory amp does not run off your rear speakers, your rear speakers run off the amp.
It seems to me you're trying to figure out how to get signal to the sub amp, correct? If so, you could use a y-splitter off the inputs for the four channel amp, or you could use a line out converter off the rear speaker leads, and run rca's from that. Either way will work fine.

yes i hav a y splitter goin into the factory amp. Sorry about that, I sometimes muddle things up like whats running off what. So if i need another Y splitter cause I will lose to channels if I do what I think your suggesting. I will try that tomorrow. thank you

Now I'm really confused. Your factory amp is just that, and should not have any y-splitters attached at all, since it doesn't have any rca inputs.
Let's start over. What is the vehicle, system, etc.? We need to know what you have. That way we can give you good advice to achieve your goals. What makes you think using a splitter would make you lose any channels?

I have a nissan pulsar 83, however nothing in it is stock. i have a sony cd player. at the moment im a running two panasonic 6 inches in the front, then at the back i have the rear speakers goin into the ford amp (at the rca inputs, which go into the splitter), off the ford amp i am running 4 6x9's. what i am trying to do is run a kenwood monoblock amp with a pioneer sub, but dont know how to get a signal from the cd player, power is easy. the reason why im having trouble is i have used all the speakers up from the cd player. does that make sense? its so much easier to show but if i take it to a proffesional it costs too much

Okay, so you spliced on some RCA connections to use a factory amp?
If you're using rca interconnects, all you need to do is use another splitter, which will give you another set of rca outputs. Then you'll just run another length of rca cables to your sub amp.
Don't worry about not having anymore speaker outputs because you don't need any more to connect your amp. The amp itself will provide an output for your sub. If this doesn't make sense, you probably will need to take it to a professional. It sounds like you're getting ahead of yourself and jumping right in before you know all the basics. I'd suggest reading some online tutorials. Check out www.crutchfield.com as well as www.bcae1.com.

your probably right. thanks for the site.i think the splitters will be what i end up doing. i was gonna do it in the first place but thought there mite be a better way. any ways later days
