I am doing an install on my 06 cobolt. I have the pioneer package with includes a stock pioneer subwoofer in the trunk. I want to upgrade my head unit but I'm not sure if there is a special wire harness that I will need? Does the amp tie directly into the stereo or tapped into the rear speakers? Some one also metioned to me that I will need a special adaptor for the after market stereo because it has some of the dash accessories tied into it. If someone could help me out and let me know what parts I need for this stereo upgrade I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks, Mike

I looked around and couldn't find too much. Try calling www.crutchfield.com. They are very knowledgable and should be able to help.

That car needs a very expensive dashkit/wire harness because GM is/are retards. Metra #99-3303 retains RAP circuit, driver info etc. NO shortcut available, tried other GM harness, no luck.
