First off, there is NO WAY that deck can make 52 watts per channel. There is no switching power supply, so you are left with battery voltage, which will allow you about 12 to 15 real world watts per channel.
Secondly, as long as the impedance never drops below the safe rating (in this case, probably 4 ohms) per channel you can hook twelve 15 inch woofers to each channel, and the deck can "handle" it. The speakers "handle" the (internal) amplifier, the amplifier provides power to the speakers, not the other way around. Will it sound good? Possibly, but I doubt it pretty highly. Will it sound better if you were to put a real 100 watt X4 amplifier in to power the speakers? ABSOLUTELY - certainly better than the tiny internal deck amplifier chips could make it sound.
Thirdly, will it ever sound really good? Not with an Xplod head unit, and you will need to make sure you buy a VERY good amplifier (NOTHING by Audiobahn or Sony qualifies...) to extract whatever resolution might still be hiding in your music, without destryoing it any further.

Yes, those speakers will work with your HU. However, the HU puts out about 15 watts RMS, which is what really matters. Never worry about peak numbers. They are a fictional number made up by the manufacturer to sell there products. Basically, RMS is the constant power that it produced. The speakers will sound better if you amplify them, even with a cheaper amplifier. And yes, like haemfist said, the better the amp and HU, the better it will sound. If the Sony is OK for you, that is great, but an Alpine HU with a high-quality amp will will always sound better than a Sony HU and lower quality amp. It is basically how much money you have and are willing to spend. As for me though, I would rather have Sony than stock anyday, even though I prefer a bit of a higher quality product.
