I just got the head unit yesterday and so far its amazed me with all the extra options..ive read the handbook and what not..but I still can't figure out how to setup the Eq .. ,all the frequencies , and(super bass)..I want to use the deck to its full potential (full bass for subs and little or no bass on my 6 by 9")on my panasonic deck this was very simple to do, but on this deck its more complex..any help
on the settings so that I have full bass without distoration would be greatly appreciated
thanks!

you're in luck. i have a sh55, same garbage.
k, hold down the EQ button until i think its "low frequency" shows up, use << >> to go between low mid and high settings and the volume knob to change them. so basicly what i did is tuned that thing up perfectly, if u want i can let u know what i have all my frequnces and levels set at, but right now i have no clue, but i found that if you turn your sbass up to 8, turn your low level down to -6, and your ext vol up to 12 or whatever max is, and let it hammer. !! i have really good 6x9's so i dont recomend trying it, but i can turn off my subs and let the components hammer at 50 on the deck, all the way up and there is absolutly NO distortion, i guess that it helps i have a 4 channel amp too, anyways, once you've finished all your settings just press EQ again and you have the choice of saving it as 1 of 3 custom EQ's, turn the volume knob to select which one. if you hold down SEL you get into the setup menu where you can control things like the dimmer and contrast of the screen and all those toys. and if your looking to put some names to cd's or radio stations, first press and hold display buttom and press sel at the same time. hope i helped, i know my deck inside out so if u have trouble let me know

thanks for the help I gave it a try and it works fine..I was scared that if i turned down the low level, that I would lose bass on the subs, I also noticed after certain volume the s bass shuts off?..but still now it pounds and sounds clear..I have no clue what the width does though, I cant here any difference in sound...I set the low frequencie to 50...no audible difference either.
thanks again !
