Thanks for the help. I know about the metra kit but wanted to used wood instead of the abs plastic. Diamond D661s' into a 2000 f150. My local shop doesn't carry the metra line and I want to put these in (read: can't wait). Does anyone have a template or dimensions that I'll need to do this? Or simply any advice to offer.

Yes, use plastic and not wood. Your door is full of moisture. Moisture and wood (mdf in particular) do not get along well at all. This causes the wood to warp and your speaker which is mounted to the wood also to warp, end result is buy new speakers. Use 1/4" black abs for this.
