OK I'm back at square one and now need to decide on new subs - I am upgrading from my Diamond audio D3's and I will be looking in the $400/ea range. I've heard AND owned many subs but ironically I have no experience with the top 3 I am trying to decide on so I need help! They will be in a small/mid sized sealed enclosure. The #1 most important quality to me is the deepest bass extension possible, then tied for 2nd are SQ & SPL both being equally important. The 3 subs I have it narrowed down to are: Boston G512-44 OR Polk SR124-DVC OR Eclipse SW9122 titaniums. Help!

Ive got a pair of MTX 8500 12"s waiting to be sold to the proper buyer for $350 a piece. If you dont know anything about these subs you must be a noob lol. They are comparable to the JL W7s . They are rated to handle 500RMS but I give them about 750RMS. Ive had these pups in several different boxes ranging from pure SPL to pure SQ and they handle both applications perfectly. For your desire, a decent sized ported box tuned to 35hz would be perfect. I had one close to that tuned to 42 and I loved it. If you are interested let me know. They are in perfect working condition and they havent been abused in any way. They are also still covered under an extended 4 year warantee that I purchased through my local authorized dealer (car toys). PM me for more details.

Mtx 8500.......Forgot that, unless you can get both for $500. I would go with the eclipse titaniums they`ll sound a lot, +++ better than mtx subwoofers and handle tons of power.

Having OWNED the SW9122, I can't recommend anything else. I ran close to 1700 watts to it in a one cubic foot sealed box, and I was constantly blown away with it's speed, articulation, and extension. I will warn you, they LOVE tons of power, and I wouldn't even think of running less than about 1000 watts to it, especially in a box that small.

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

both for $500 with a 4 year warantee? are you smokin crack? they retail for $500 a piece without the 4 year warantee.

Sorry but I love Boston...they can get pretty deep.

Friend of mine has the G2 10 inch in a 1.5 cu ft box tuned to 40Hz and it still hits DEEP...wonder what the G5 can do

Ok I see a pattern. I've visited MANY forums, read 100's of reviews, etc and 99% of the time it all kept coming back to the SW9122's. I have a few dealers in my area and was told if I wanted them to hurry as they were not going to make any more of the 9122's and most places were sold out. I went to my top 3 dealers, all were sold out. So I finally found another dealer relatively far away and they just so happened to have exactly and only 2 in stock - I figured it was fate and bought them. These things are by FAR the best SQ I've EVER got out of a sub, amazing! I can't wait till they break in, should be unbelievable. But now I have another issue - I need a new amp. I have a Diamond 600w x 1 at 1ohm amp which was great for my old subs but will barely move my new SW9122's and I'm also trying to stay WAY under $800 for the amp. I came across 2 in a good price range: (1) Soundstream PCA2000D  OR  (2) Hifonics XX Hercules - both are 2000 RMS x 1 at 1 ohm which is how I'm running the subs. Since both amps state the same power - which is better? Thanks for all the help guys, greatly appreciated.

Soundstream may be more real rated watts than the Hifonics...but either will put out a decent amount of watts
