Have someone that has an early 90's volvo and the stock radio is capable of cd changer, so he picked up a stock changer and his car isn't wired for a cd changer. Now he heard that and alpine changer plug will work, one that is an 8 pin plug. Has anyone heard of this and if so where can I pick one up.

I know that you can use a factory HU with an Alipne changer as long as you have a peripheral adaptor like the one here on page 10 & 11 for Volvo's. Now I'm not sure if you can use a normal M-Bus cable from the stock HU to the Stock changer cause there's a adaptor cable available for it so my bet is that it won't work. He may need to buy an Alpine changer for it to work.

Question, does the stock changer have an M-Bus connector on it ? Does the stock HU have an M-Bus connector on it ?
