I have a 12 inch. JL W7, and a JL 1000/1, what is the highest crossover frequency I can have it at?

Whatever sounds good to you, but in general, I'd never run a 12 higher than about 80 (maybe 100 Hz), and then only with a VERY steep crossover slope - greater than 36dB/octave. In my system, the subs are set to 50Hz, and 48dB/octave, but I like true subwoofers, not detached woofers.
------------- It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

80Hz is the industry standard subwoofer crossover frequency. ------------- Support the12volt.com

Not necessarily. 120Hz is too high for non-directional bass, but it might be what works best in your vehicle. Where is the high-pass set for your mains? It should be the same frequency and slope. ------------- Support the12volt.com
