i recently purchased a pair of 12" kicker comps in a box (item kicker 05dc122) and i wanted to know what specific specs im looking for ie. "you want your bass boost to be around x Hz" ect. i will only be using the amp for the subwoofers so thats all i need to worry about. here are the specs i got off the crutchfield website
https://www.crutchfield.com/S-GvKd1aRqhWx/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=510&tab=features_and_specs&i=206DC122#Tab
some one told me i should get a 2 channel amp with a power rating as close as i can to the subs. im not quite sure if i need to have the specs as close as i can to the 2 ohms or the 4. can someone please tell me what is best for these subs and if possible an acual amp i should get.
all answers are greatly appreciated

05 DC 12 2 sounds like the year '05, Dual Coil, 12", 2 ohms per coil. The above would be how you would wire the pair together, and the result is 2 ohms. You would use a mono class D amplifier for these with an output of about 500 to 700 watts at the 2 ohm load impedance. Look at mono amps whose ratings at 2 ohms are in this range.

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.
My recommendation would be the kicker 600.1 Ive installed this setup many times in many different vehicles and it always sounds good.

now with this set up would it matter if the amp was bridged or not?
