SO I've hit a dilema. I get this crazy idea to buy a pair of 18" Subs and put them in a car. Problem is I can't find an amp to power'em.
The specs on each of the subs are:
Peak Wattage: 1500 watts
OHM Rating: 8 Ohms
Cone End Diameter: 18"
Mag Rear to Cone Ends: 7.43"

THe Box I built has dimensions of
Lenth: 32"
Width: 20"
Height: 17"
Weight: 65lbs.

I've tried selling them on eBay, but have yet to get any interest. I'm a bit in debt a few hundred dollars and so I've not had any interest in buying an amp. The speakers are boxed(3/4"), silicon blue sealed, and carpeted(black). I've tried a 4channel Pyle 1200watt amp bridged on a single speaker and didn't get much of a response. I got a pretty decent kick out of a 350watt amp. I'm guessing it has to do with the fact that they're 8ohms. SHould I use speperate mono amps, a big 2 channel amp, should i push 1500watts on each, I mean waht do you guys think? and could you give me examples on some amps that would push em, not just specifications on amps, thanks for any input.

Hook them up in parallel to get 4 ohm. Soundstream XXX-6500D will push no problem.
