ok i cant figure this out, how do you get to the front 4" speakers without having to take the whole dash out?

I'm pretty sure you have to take the whole dash off on that vehicle unfortunately.

THe proper way is to remove the entire dash.. It actually isn't that hard and the entire thing is only held on by 4 or 6 7mm screws. There are also two screws hiding in the defroster vent. The way I did it a long time ago was pry up on the speaker grill until the mounts snapped. You can just glue it back down and it doesnt look any different. IMO it will still sound like crap with a 4" speaker in there no matter how good of a speaker u get. I ended up swapping my entire interior to the 95+ style so that I could use the door panels that had speakers in them.

thanks fr al the info. i ended up leavig the dash speakers in there it sounded ok for what the customer wanted. i only changed out the rear deck speackers to 3 ways and it sounded pretty good. note to install a dash kit you have to glue it on the inside. i used this stuff called sumo glue in a yellow bottle they sell at lowes. you gotta wait about 6 ours to set , but once its in there its in there. if you put too much and it shows from the front you wil need to cover it up . it drys white. but its really good stuff. you can als chip off any extra with a hobby knife.
Use a good 2part epoxy or C/A glue next time. Dries harder then steel in minutes and is clear. If I had 6 hours I would use fiberglass and resin..well actually about half that much time...thanks
