What are my options on keeping the factory stereo (has a cd/aux button)and linking it up with aux rca for use with i pod or mp3 players.
If i had to remove the factory stereo and use an aftermarket,do i need a special module?
Vehicle is an 02 Pontiac Sunfire.

Yes, you need an adapter.
