Using existing speaker wires?

Hi all, I have a 2006 chrysler 300, my 4channel amp is in the trunk, i have 2 speakers in my front doors and 2 speaker on the rear deck, is there anyway I can use the existing factory wires and send the signal to the front door speakers without rewiring new wires... Thank you.

Heres a better answer....(sorry azn..lol)

This is a shortcut that works with no problems. Take the factory wires from the rear speakers, disconnect them from the speakers and connect those to the front outputs of the amp. Now behind the dash connect the rear speaker wires to the front speaker wires.

Ok..you now have a run from the trunk to the doors.

Now take the rear outputs from the amp and run wires to the rear speakers on the deck...there....done...cake.

Just watch that the polarity is correct or you may end up 180degrees electrically out of phase and lose bass response..also make sure the speaker wires at the dash are not still connected to the factory deck.

Now this is all assuming there is no factory amp..if there is on your vehicle it should be up above the drivers kick area..you can grab the speaker wires there and do the same thing. again make sure they are disconnected from the factory amp. Good Luck

True but on many suv's I grab them under the sill plate and since the left and right usually run down the same side..it is still a timesaver.   Once you have them connected at the dash you just extend all four sets (after they are cut ) to where the amp is and that parts done.

But...keep in mind I only do this for "production" work and quicky side jobs.

If doing any competition, show or high end jobs I always run newer thicker gauge speaker wire. Not only to make more money (which is nice) or that it looks better (which is nice) or that the wire is thicker and better quality then factory, hence more reliable (which is nice) or that it helps the sound quality (which it probably doesn't except it the most extreme high power cases)..but a combination of all of the above.

if a shortcut can prove just as reliable as a long cut I always believed it wiser to choose the path of least  resistance..but if the shortcut, whatever it is, can effect the integrity of what you are doing, then yes..I would call that lazy ,agreed.
