I'm trying to install a pioneer cd player for my 94 accord lx. I'm having two problems. First of all, I couldn't find the constant 12v wire (as i found out from this site - blue/white wire) and switched 12v wire (yellow/red). Every speaker wire matches, and connected, ground is connected, Then I'm left with a few extra wires coming out of the car: WHITE/ red, yellow/white which is the antenna trigger, RED / black which is the illumination, and a white wire. so what are these (white wire, WHITE/ red) wires? What happens if the constant 12v and switched 12v wires are missing?

Secondly, while trying to install the cd player, the car clock went out. if i keep pressing the little button on the right of the clock it turns on but doesnt remember time when i turn off and turn on my car. i think messed a little wire or something. How can i correct the clock? it works when i press the button so i may have touched something that keeps it on.

Thanks for the help, and the wiring diagram on this site

Dude..you blew fuses..thats why you have no power. Check the panel under the dash and the one under the hood by the battery. Replace all the blown fuses and hook up the deck..it will work and so will the clock.

Sounds like the stock harness has been butchured, cut , hacked and chopped..why didn't you just use a harness adaptor..would have saved all the trouble?

Good call Master5 but I was told the clock works off the constant for the deck. There is a chance I'm misinformed the source isn't too reliable (other stereo forum) lol. The way I'm reading this is you somehow have the constant and ignition wire switched on your clock and therfore tells me that the wiring for the deck might be wrong also, this might explain the missing wire issue.

Well heres the factory wiring color code for that vehicle. I don't think any wires a "missing" ,I think he has the colors messed up..is not verifying with a meter..and assuming things are missing when it is simply blown fuses. And blown fuses will cause strange things to happen..once those are replaced..and the deck is operating....if the clock is still a problem we can take it from there..but my money is on everything will start working right again.

And people...STOP HACKING UP FACTORY HARNESSES.....lol, It will prevent all this trouble.

Use harness adaptors please!

Radio 12v  WHITE/ yellow   +   radio harness
Radio Ground  black   -   radio harness
Radio Ignition  WHITE/ red   +   radio harness
Radio Illumination  RED / black   +   radio harness
Power Antenna  yellow/white   +   radio harness

LF Speaker +/-  blue/green - gray/black   +,-  radio harness
RF Speaker +/-  RED / green - BROWN / black   +,-  radio harness
LR Speaker +/-  blue / YELLOW - gray/white   +,-  radio harness
RR Speaker +/-  RED / yellow - BROWN / white   +,-  radio harness
