I am trying to install a Pioneer DEH-P47dh into my 1997 Dodge Caravan with the Infinity system. Coming out of the Pioneer i have a blue wire with a white stripe that is labeled "system remote control". On the Black connector that goes to the infinity system is a dark blue wire that I think is the infinity system turn on. My question is do these two wires hook together to turn on the Infinity system?

There should be a LIGHT GREEN wire on the black plug that is the amp turn on wire. It is the last wire on the end of the plug.

On the black connector on one end is a violet wire with a black stripe and on the other end is a blue one. That is where the confusion is coming in. All other wires were labeled as to where they go and match up color for color except these two. Could it be in my connector that I bought it has the wrong color in this position?

Blue= power antenna..... it would put out 12 volts when the AM/FM radio is on.
Blue/white= amp turn-on..... it would put out 12 volts whenever the head unit is on....whether it's for AM, FM, CD, or tape.
Remember, your harness adapter is universal, and fits pretty much every Chrsyler product from 1974-2001.
The blue wire in that adapter is used to turn on the Infinity amp. I'm pretty sure you don't even have a power antenna. Tie the Pioneer's blue/white to your adapter's blue, and you'll be all set.......anytime the Pioneer's on, the Infinity amp is on too.
I see what you were talking about. The BLUE wire on the end of the black connector is the wiring harness that you bought to adapt to the Dodge OEM harness. Do what Chris is saying above . The wire colors that I was referring to was the OEM plug wire colors.
