Hi all. i am looking to add some punch to my system and need some suggestions.  Im running an alpine cda-7893 head unit with alpine spx-137a  5 1/4" up front  and alpine spr-694a  6x9 in the rear. the head unit has a v-drive 60w x4 amplifier. what i need to know is A. do i add an amp to these speakers, and if so what is a good choice?  B. want to add subs, should i stick with all alpine components and go with the type R ? and if so what amp to run the subs on?  I know that one of you knowledgeable souls out there can help.  thank you in advance

I suggest getting a 4 channel amplifier to run the 4 speakers, maybe a MRV-F540. As far as an amp for a sub and the sub, I suggest going for a Boston Acoustic or JL sub and for powering it get a 2 channel amplifier ( if you are only going to get one sub MRV-T420 ) or a digital mono amp if you are going to get 2 or more subs ( MRD-M500 ).
