Wired the following

1 head unit
1 amp
1 sub

since i have the chrysler 300 the car battery is in the trunk...

so i wired the negative ground from the amp straight to the negative on the battery, since it's a few inch's away.

i wired the positive from the amp to the positive on the battery, with a fuse. all the wiring comes from an amp install kit, with the appropriate guaged wiring.

then i connected the remote on the amp, to the auto antenna on my hu. 12 plus & 12v+ wires i tied together and connected them to the positive on the amp.

and the ground from the hu, i wired to the amp negative.

can someone tell me why when i turn up the volume past 12 does the amp protect.

I twisted the ends of them together so that there connected and then connected them to the positive terminal 12v+ on the amp, instead of the 12 plus to acc. and in turn the positive on the amp is connected to the positive on the battery...

What make/model is the amp?  What is the impedance load of the sub?  How did you set your gain?  And what the HECK do you mean when you say:
I twisted the ends of them together so that there connected and then connected them to the positive terminal 12v+ on the amp, instead of the 12 plus to acc. and in turn the positive on the amp is connected to the positive on the battery
Did you somehow power your HU through the amplifier positive connection terminal?

Still don't get what you're trying to say man...seriously

Basically sounds like you said you connected the remote lead to the amp power...which is constant

from what I get, he connected the deck to the amp instead of the factory wiring...I dont know why but ok

again, we need the make and model of both the sub and the amp you are trying to run

Lanzar 4000 watts mosfet 2 ch - with remote bass boost.
Lanzar 2000 Watts 15" sub

i baught these items as a kit from the manufacturer, so there definately compatible.

just to clarify i did connect the deck straight to the amp.

because i'm not mounting this deck in dash, i will run it under the seat, i will not use the cd EVEr because i don't burn cd's, the source of my audio is my harmon kardon drive and play which add's ipod on dash control and lcd. also i have the chrysler 300c 2006 which were built with a mercedes similar electrical system, meaning the battery for the car is in the trunk.

so to avoid running alot of wire everything is short and sweet... obviously not so sweet though.

i've also double checked all the fuses none are blown, so i'm not understanding why the deck won't pass volume 12 it did initially but don't no what i did...

sounds like you have it wired bridged to the amp, which is not compatible.

The amp you have will not take a 2 ohm mono load.

Un Bridge your amp before you let the magic smoke out
