I have Kenwood KDC 679 head unit with 5 volt RCA outs, and I want conect Nakamichi amp PA1004 with input sensitivity: 150 mV to 4V.

What happend with the amp??

You can connect that deck to that amp no problem...it won't always be sending a 5 volt signal..just don't crank the sub volume up on the deck

The deck could boast of having 8 volt preout and you'd still be fine connecting to the amplifier. As always, be sure to set deck volume maximum to below clipping level, and set gains on the amplifier to match, below clipping.

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.
