1988 ford festiva wiring problems

I recently bought a 1988 ford festiva it needs some engine work but right now i'm focusing on the audio system. When i recieved the car there was no radio harness just bare wires. With the help of the 12volt and other resources i think i have found the power wires but i seem to not be getting any power. Can anyone lend some advice on what to check for?

I know those cars use a common ground system for all the speakers, looks like the best route would be to re-wire all the speakers.   I was constiantly blowing fuses in my festiva so I ended up wiring to the steering colum using inline fuses on the wires.
