Looking to update my head unit and would like to know if this cd player will play the mp3, wma, ect. in a data format? I will be repaacing a Pioneer DEH-P860MP.

Yea it will play mp3 and wma media formats on a cd. It also has ipod connectivity, but you will need to purchase a seperate adaptor for that. Very great choice BTW loads better than the pioneer it will be replacing.

I would like to know if this unit will a CD that is recorded as a data disk, not as an audio disk.

Yea it will that is what a mp3 disc is, its a data disc.
