2001 Lexus IS300 Factory Amplifier

I'm currently working on a 2001 IS300, I know th eamp is above the pass. kick, and I have to rewire I was wondering besides that if I need to do any more wiring or replacing cause my friend said I can use the TWH-14 or TWH-17 amp harness , and my other friend said cannot but also have to rewire the rear speakers cause something about being self amplified, so might need to replace... can some one help I'm not too familar with these cars and even fellow installers can seem to give me a straight answer... thank you...
