Ok so I am have read alot and thought alot aswel but this is still a grey area for me.

Q.1) let say I have a speaker that is 250rms and a amp that is 500rms x1 can I lower the gain and achive the proper output of 250rms to the sub or maybe up the resistance.

Q.2)What does the bass boost do in relation to everything.

Q.3)why is it that in a curcuit if the component  is only consuming a set amount thats all it gets even tho there is a possiblity that it can get more. And why is that not the same way with speakers.

yes, you can lower your gain to adjust for the power level you want.

using a digital multimeter, set the gain on the amp till you get a reading of approx 16 volts on the speaker terminals

have your sub disconnected and use a wave of approx 50-60 hz
