hey guys does anyone know of a way to unlock the new gm delco klock radios except for taking to dealer and having them unlock thru techII? i have 2 2005 gm cd players that a used car lot had me remove and put in aftermarket radios cause dealer wanted 100.00 or so to unlock and id hate to have these radios as dead weight id like to unlock them and have them on hand for cheap replacements any help is appreciated

they have to be done with a Tech II.... the VIN of the vehicle is burned into the radio as a "code" and if the vehicle sees a conflicting VIN when compared with the IPC & BCM the radio will lock..... also, many newer units are SPS which require a data upload/download via the Tech II to calibrate to the specific vehicle it's going into.....

you do have to take them once installed in the vehicle to a GM dealer or an AC Delco radio centre like ourselves.....
