Hello everyone, I've got a wierd question.
In my new car, I am going to be adding in the speakers from my old car since they are only a couple months old. I am building a box in the back because it is a hatchback and they will all sit in there in seperate chambers with a sub underneath.
Well the question is, sometimes I want to cruise with the music really loud, sometimes I just want music to cover the sound of the air rushing past the windows, lol.
What I want to do, is keep the new deck wired to the speakers that are already in the front doors and dash, and run a 4 channel amp in the back for the back speakers. When I am I just listening to the music quietly, with the sub off I would also like the 4ch amp turned off, and the back speakers running off the deck also.
The closest thing I could think of, would be to run the remote turn on wire back for the subs, then use a couple relays back there to buffer the power for the sub amp, 4ch amp, and amp fans. Then also use this same power to switch 4 DPDT relays which will switch the speakers from running in paralelle to running off the back amp.
Is this a good idea, and will it work?
Before I run 8 more wires under the trim of the car, or under the carpet, I figured I would ask, maybe theres an easyer way, lol.

I would think it would be easier to get new speaker in the front of the vehicle, use the 4 channel on them, control the volume how you want. and add the sub amp with a switch or buy a sub amp ith adjustable bass control
it just sounds like a whole lot of work, when you could spend the same amount of money, have nice sound from your speakers in the front of the car all the time, and just keep you fingers with the volume aways adustable to you tastes

Yea its easyer that way. I just wanted to reuse the speakers I just bought since they won't fit into the new/used car, not without metal work that I am not familiar enough with. I was going to buy new speakers to replace what is already in there, and keep the other ones I own.
I guess if I want the volume low, I could just not use the back speakers/amp at all.
