Are you going to actually hear any difference in sound between oxygen free copper wire and regular copper, or will it justb stand up to corrosion a little longer?

thnx

No, and no. While "oxygen free" means CHEMICALLY, there is no (or very little) oxygen chemically bound with the atomic structure of the metal, you will not likely hear any difference ANYWHERE, let alone in the VERY noisy environment of the car.

Copper is going to oxidize anywhere it is exposed to air, and "oxygen free" or not, it is going to oxidize at the same rate, or so close as to be mathematically insignificant differences...

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

I was thinking about putting my pesky cat into an oxygen-free environment for awhile to see what would happen...

Scientifically, I think OFC offers a slightly lower resistance. Measurable in everyday applications, no, but in a laboratory, yes.
