Hello all,
I have had a problem installing a cd player in my 94 accord lx and finally got it together. The cd player is working perfectly good but I noticed the car clock doesn't light up. The clock works when I press on the plastic lid covering the set buttons. It starts at 1:00 and i can even set the time. When I turn off the car and turn it back on, the clock is again at 1:00. It never lights on unless I press the lid, with the little buttons inside. I know it's a little thing. What's wrong wit it? I need detailed instructions to fix it because I'm not very knowledgeable with electronics so "replace the fuse" wouldn't help me. Please tell me exact things to replace so I can ask about at stores.
If you're losing your radio stations everytime you turn it on as well, your constant wire does not have power (could be a blown fuse), or it's connected to the wrong wire. Typically the yellow wire in the harness is used for memory, and should have constant power. The red wire is a switched wire, and should only recieve power when the key is turned on. There could be other things, but we don't have enough information.
What is the make/model of stereo? Did you use a wiring harness to connect directly to the factory radio harness, or is the factory radio harness cut off, etc.?

My ex once told me I have a perfect face for radio.
ok me first and only guess would be to make sure the connector to the clock is plugged in enough.
Question for you since you just put in a radio. my connector to from the car is gut off so i need to know which wire is which. well i found this website (the12volt) but it says i should have a blue wire with a white stripe, i dont, but i do have a white wire with a yellow strip that doesnt have a name or a place to go. was either wire on yours and which one did the WHITE/ yellow one go to
