with an 06/07 saturn ion3, it comes complete with onstar. what if (purely hypothetical but asked to gain insight) i wanted to have the dealership upgrade to having xm as well? what do they have to do? is there a new antenna put on or new box in the car? i removed the headliner and viewed the underside of the antenna and found two cable running out of it. one is purple and thick and one is blue and smaller in diameter. i traced the cables to the OnStar receiver found under the rear deck (thanks to those who contributed to that post!) and noticed that they were both connected to the OnStar receiver. is that OnStar receiver already "satellite ready" for XM? im thinking that it is and that in the hypothetical scenario, all i would have to do is take the car to the dealer who gets the xm radio id number and gets an account set up.

any thoughts?
