I installed a new deck into my prelude. Same problem as my old deck...engine noise when car is running and a whining noise even when its not. The antenna wire seems good and the remote wire is powering up fine...any ideas???? It is the antenna that is in the rear window. Its got me stumped. I figured it was just the tuner in my old deck...But this new deck does it also..

Thanks in advance

BAD GROUND!!!!!  Do you have an amp on the system or just a radio?  if you have an amp on your highs, make sure you run the power and remote wires on the opposite side of the car as the RCA jacks.  Next ground your amp better.  fine solid metal, scratch the metal with a crinder or a screwdriver and use a star washer when you attatch the wire with a self tapping screw.  if you don't have an amp just take the black wire off of the deck and ground it to some good metal same as you would for the amp.  sometimes in older cars the radio is a shared ground with other electrical components in the car.  if this don't work, go buy a ground loop isolator and that should fix the problem.

I have run the wiring on seperate sides. I have 0 guage wire running down the pass side with the remote wire, and 3 sets af rca's running down the drivers side. I also have a solid 0 gauge ground in the back and have changed the decks ground as well. There is a little noise on DVD or I-Pod, but not much. On radio it is worse with AM being really bad. Wondering if maybe the antenna wire is running on pass side and power wire is near it?? Or maybe my RCA's are causeing the noise???
