Hi

I currently have an infinty reference 1052 (4ohm DVC) . 250W RMS and 1000 Max. Its powered by an Alpine M350. Amp is rated for 200W@ 4 ohms, and 350W@ 2 ohms.

My question to you guys is would a 12" RF Punch stage 2 DVC be a good upgrade from my infinity?

Second question is what subs would you recommend that would work with my current amp?

Sounds like a lateral move to me. What are you shooting for? More bass? Better system balance? Different low end sound? More output?

What's the enclosure it's in? What's the rest of the system? Car?

Im going for more better sounding bass. It would be going in a sealed box in a 2001 dakota quad cab. The rest of my stuff is the stock infinity system.

I think you'd do better to upgrade the amp. You won't see much difference from changing to that sub from your infinity.

Shoot for around 600w RMS, I bet the sub will tolerate it. If not, upgrade that too.

Do you think a Kenwood KAC-9102D amp and a Kicker 12" CompVX would be a good match?

Looks good. At this level you'd do well to spend some time building a quality enclosure or buy one pre-matched to the sub.

i think, upgrade the amp too, no matter what sub you put there, its still goin to get the same amount of power from your amp...  if you wanna keep the amp, how about a ported box? i know you dont have alot of room  for it, but could it be a opition?
