I know the subject line doesnt make much sense however what I want to do is to is to use tweeters as either a: a center channel or b: to play the sound of my nav since my set up is using a seperate nav screen that I can output the sound from. I had considered just using the Clarion Center channel that is a 1/2 din unit for the nav speaker but I am using the JVC AVX2 for the source and since it has a center channel output I want to take advantage and get the best sound I can. Let me know what some of you would do in this situation.

Well, a tweeter IS a speaker, of course... but to answer your question no, in general that's not a good idea.  Tweeters are designed to function (generally) no lower than about 2KHz.  Most center channel information, and certainly most Nav information, requires normal human speech reproduction, the majority of which lies between about 200 and 3000Hz.  A tweeter would not be able to reproduce most of this range.  You need a midrange speaker.

I second that. In addition a tweeter would probably blow within weeks.

Here is the smallest mid-range I could find.  It may work depending on the application / installation
