I have a Ford Aspire 1995 and have recently installed a stereo kit from walmart. the stereo is a Sony Xplod and after instalation the dash lights and gear lights are out and its memory saveing is not working. what might i have done wrong in the instaltion and what are some things i could do to fix this?

Sounds like an improper wiring job. The illumination wire and the memory wire are most likely going to be the cause. Check the sticky on how to figure out your stereo wiring.

Yup. You also have at least one blown fuse, which is why the dash lights/memory don't work. The reason the fuse(s) blew is because the wires were not connected right. In the future, using a wiring harness for the vehicle (also available at Wal-Mart), will prevent this from happening.
