It does have a peak power, At about 10,000 to 12,000 WRMS they will warp the coils and send the dust cap flying with a 2-3 second tone.

neither sub is the greatest choice for daily listening as they are such a stiff woofer, and require a massive amount of power to get as loud as a smaller woofer

Unless you plan to upgrade from your 1 1200.1 to 4 1200.1's I would ditch the idea.

You alread have a killer setup that can get incrediblly loud, what type of enclpsure do you have the 2 12's in now?

I would highly highly recommend building 2 diffrent enclosures or an adustable port system for this.   espically if you plan to compete with it, even part time.

With one 18 inch woofer you will be classed aginst me or others like me with 4 12" subs or 6 10" subs like I have

This class will see scores easily of 155-157DB with the car sealed up, turned off, and the meter will be located on the glass.

A good thing you might want to look into if you are going to try and have a streetable setup and run it in competitons is the USACi Street Beat classes, you still would be classed against the same size of woofers but you would be using music for a 30 second average SPL reading

This can take quite a tool on equipment as its prolonged stress and the 2500.1 will draw upwards of 300 amps when it is running full tilt

I have heard a single SOlO 18 sound incrediblle, it was in about 10-11 cu ft in the back of a full size surburban, it was powered by (2) rockford T3000 amps with 4 group 31 batteries and Dual 300 amp Alts

It was capable of 151db at 41hz which is very good considering how big of a vehicle it was and how low the frequency it was

Just put alot of thought into this, bigger is not always better

The last setup I designed was for (2) 2006 10 L7's with a single KX2500.1 on them. That setup is a prerfectly streetable setup, and will meter 148db with tones, and 143db with music during a 30 second average

Just think alot about what your getting into.

With amps that big you WILL need to spend $400-$800 on your charging system to get full power from those amplifiers
