i have 0 gauge wire ran in my car run into a 2.5 farad earthquake capacitor. what i was wondering is can i use the positive post from the capacitor as a ddistributor block with somethin like this?

or is it going to have some bad effects? i want it to run 2 amps off of or should i just get a fused distibutor block and split the 0 gauge into 2 4 gauge for my amps?
Firstly, the12volt prohibits linking to eBay auctions - that's in the forum rules.
Secondly, if there are distribution block capabilities built INTO the cap, use em...
Thirdly, what bullet wound are you trying to cover with a capacitor bandaid? Have you not read all the cap-bashing threads we have had here? Use that cash, and BUY AN ALTERNATOR. That's all that is going to fix voltage problems in your car.

you know what is funny, i already have a new alternator in my car along with a yellow top, so i really dont think i have any "bullet wound" i am trying to cover up with a "bandaid" i think if i wanted to use a cap in my car i think im allowed to its my car. and even if i didnt keep the cap in my car i wouldnt have a voltage problem and if i was having a voltage problem in the subject part of this post it would proble say somethin like oh i dunno "voltage problem?" not using a capacitor as a distributor block.

I believe you can use your cap post as distribution block/splitter. I could not get to your picture to see it. All it is, is parallel wiring with neg.

I have NEVER said "Do not use a cap". I have ALWAYS said "A cap doesn't do what the retailers say it'll do for you", or basically that. The retailer's cap hype is literally a "band-aid on a bullet wound". You are absolutely correct. It IS your car, and it IS your money. PLEASE, by all means, buy the cap. But, I am not the only person here that believes that a capacitor is a waste of money. I was simply trying to find out why you believe you NEED a cap in the first place. If you WANT it, that's a different story; please, install it, and all God's blessings upon you in all your future endeavors.

Well, it seems you have already answered you own question by firing back at me. If there are capacitors with distribution capabilities out there, then it must be OK to use the positive (and negative, for that matter) terminals for distribution. Only problem I can see is that sometimes the terminal bolt will be a bit too short, and you run the risk of stripping the bolt hole, by not having enough thread left over after several terminals are installed. Just be careful how tight you crank down on 'em once your terminals are installed.

I would happily look at any link you provide, as I was curious to see what you were referring to. I was only trying to help, and it is obvious to me that you took it wrong. If it matters to you at all, I did try to locate that item on eBay, OUTSIDE of your link. I did. As I said already, I was only trying to help, and apparently you took something that I said out of context.
