I have an alarm and I want to make it to where it will use the factory horns in the car instead of the siren that cme with it...so it sounds factory. I have a 99 Mitsubishi Mirage. I bought a relay and got it all hooked up and the horns will work when the ignition is switched on, but not when its off. What I am having problems with is that it has a constant hot wire, so if you take the negative wire and touch it to the frame or the negative side of the battery, it will sound regardless. But what I can't understand is why the relay will work with the ignition in the on or off position, but the horn will only sound if I hit the keypad with the ignition switched to on. I mean like I said the horns will work regardless as long as you ground them. Can somene help me figure out what I'm doing wrong?

You have to run a wire straight into the factory horn wire use a relay and make shur you diode it.
