Hi everyone, I have been searching around about setting amp gains with a DMM, but I am unsure about a few things.  The only part where I am confused is when it says to turn off all processing on your headunit to set the gains on your amp.  My question is can I set the treble, bass, etc. on my headunit after I get done setting the gains, or do you not touch it at all?  Truck is a 2001 Ford Lighting, Kicker IX450D 5 Channel Amp, Boston components up front, Boston Co-ax in rear, and Boston Sub.

SETTING GAINS

maybe this will help. i have been doing a little research myself.

7. Reconnect your speakers and verify proper operation. Set crossovers and adjust levels for proper tonal balance.
