I'm planning on running a Directed A1004 and a D2400 in my 64 Impala.

Would I need a high output alternator and extra battery with this setup?

I don't know what the regular output of the alternator is, but it's stock, so I'm guessing in the 80-90Amp range.

Since it's a 64 there is next to nothing electrical, so the alternator would not be loaded with other accessories.

I'm trying to get away with buying the equipment first and then doing future upgrades.

Thanks

I would say upgrade your big three with 4 gauge or bigger then check your voltage with the system on

Will be doing the big 3 regardless. I was just wondering how much amperage those amplifiers are actually pulling and it my stock alternator would be able to keep up
