Does anyone know where I can buy a new backlight for an Eclipse 5303 CD head unit. The display faintly shows up in some light but the backlight is completely dead. Otherwise the unit woks fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Last I heard, Eclipse was pretty proprietary... A buddy of mine, who runs a repair center IN AN ECLIPSE DEALER'S SHOP can not get parts for Eclipse units. Their sandard, canned response is: "Send it to us for repair." I don't think you are going to have much luck for finding repair parts for it...

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

I emailed Eclipse tech support and they said that they no longer have parts or handle repair for the 5303. They told me to go to www.unitedradio.com for Eclipse parts and they also repair the units also. I've contacted United Radio and waiting for a response.

Cool... I'm glad that you were potentially put on the right track!
